Akil Hirani, Managing Partner and Head of Transactions Practice, was quoted by The Economic Times on the topic of M&A transactions and the state of strategic deals of foreign entities foraying into India.
“Although liquidity is tightening, there is still a significant amount of dry powder available with private equity funds and corporates. Deals will continue to happen but at more sensible valuations and where they make strategic sense. In my view, India will see continued M&A activity in sectors such as technology (fintech, health-tech, the digital space, data centres, etc.), renewable energy, infrastructure, insurance, and capital goods” he says.
